Happy 4th of July!

Happy Birthday America! Kevin and I celebrated the 4th in Arlington while Macy May spent the weekend having a play-date with Petunia.

Saturday morning we went to the Arlington's 4th of July parade. It was a cool morning and we lucked out that the rain stayed away.

It was a big parade with all of the high school marching bands/ cheerleaders/ dancers, floats, and old time cars.

That evening we had dinner with Kevin's childhood friends and families. The BBQ was tasty and we concluded our evening by meeting up with Mike and Jen in Dallas. I can tell I am getting older because a loud bar is not so much my thing anymore, but the people watching was good!

The 4th was celebrated by going to a Rangers game. What a better way to celebrate America than watching America's favorite pasttime ... baseball! The Rangers took on the Chicago White Sox, but unfortunately came up short. We did get to see a few home runs and Kevin and I both got new Rangers t-shirt out of the game.

After the game finished the lights were turned off in the ballpark and we were able to see a beautiful fireworks show. It was very pretty!

Parade + Baseball Game + Fireworks = A great 4th of July!
