Stella & Dot Trunk Show

My sister was in town!!! I haven't seen Jennifer since Ross and Meg's wedding in January. It was so good seeing my sister even though it was just for a little bit. Jennifer started selling Stella & Dot jewelry this past year so I threw a Stella & Dot trunk show. The jewelry is really cute and it was a lot of fun! Thanks for all of you who came.

Happy Birthday Andrew and Nana!

Andrew and Nana are birthday buddies, both sharing May 23rd as their special day. This year we had two big birthdays to celebrate with Andrew turning 21 and Nana... well, we will keep that one a secret.

All good birthdays need to be celebrated with the ones that love you the most...

Happy birthday Andrew and Nana!

Life...

Can you tell that life has gotten a little crazy? I have not done a very good job posting in the last few weeks so here is a Heinze update...

My parents went out of town so Macy May had a visitor! Petunia, my parents dog, got to spend the weekend with us. They had a lot of fun and Petunia was a great guest. Kevin was prepared for Petunia to get into mischief, but she was a very good dog. She played with all of Macy's toys that are never played with. It was very funny to watch Petunia. Every morning she would take out each toy one at a time and carefully spread them out throughout the house. Oh, how Macy and Petunia love each other! I think that they might be best friends...

Kevin and I also crossed wedding number three off of the list. Ashley and Jayce got married! The ceremony and reception took place outside and it was beautiful. We had a lot of fun seeing old friends and dancing!

Almost married for a year now...

Another big highlight of the last few weeks... I was called for jury duty for the first time! It wasn't the greatest time of the year with school coming to an end, but all in all, it really wasn't that bad. I have decided that jury duty is like waiting for a delayed plane. You wait and wait and wait and finally you are on your way. My name was never called so I never went inside a courtroom. On a plus I entered all my report card grades, graded my CBA's, and got to have lunch with my dad.

And that about sums it up!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy mother's day to all those mommies out there and mommies to be.

We enjoyed celebrating mom's day by getting together with my mom and both of my grandmothers. The grandma's did want to know when I will get to be a mom and my mother quickly enlightened them that it is not anytime soon becuase I had a glass of wine!

Dad grilled hamburgers and I even ate half of one!

The Book...

We finally got our wedding album (almost a year later)!!! It is such a cool book. My mom and I helped our photographer put it all together and I could not be more pleased on the finished product.

Here are just a few pages...

It is such a keepsake and I can't wait to share it with everyone!

Happy Quarter Birthday to Me!

So as my sister puts it, I am a quarter now! That's right, I am officially 25! Jen this picture is just for you...

WOW! Time has really gone by fast and before you know it I will be 30! For some reason or other, I was really pumped up about my birthday this year. It might have to do with the fact that this will be my last birthday week ever until Kevin and I both retire (Kevin's new rule, but I added in the part that it can start up again once we retire.). It was an amazing week due to the fact that I have been pampered by my husband all week long and an added bonus of my birthday week falling on the same week as teacher appreciation week. So I feel really loved by all the attention I have received this past week.

My birthday week has consisted of a wonderful massage, a beautiful bouquet of flowers, pancakes for dinner, and Kevin picking up dinner one night.

For my real birthday, Kevin baked me a cake and I finally got a new camera! That evening we went to my parents house. My dad grilled steaks and my mom made green bean bundles and twice baked potatoes. Yum, yum!

Hello new camera...

Macy May

So our dog is definitely spoiled! She is such a sweetie and our little baby. Macy has been needing her nails cut so Kevin and I made a little trip to the pet store. While we were there we ended up getting a few extras.

Doesn't Macy May look beautiful in her new collar?

And she just loves the new dog bed (Please note that Macy is such a lady, she is crossing her legs.)...

Out With The Old, In With The New...

Filing your taxes is never fun, but it is always fun when Uncle Sam gives you a nice tax return! Kevin and I were very excited to find out that we would be getting a pretty large amount of money back and we have been debating what we should do with it... option A: put it in savings or option B: buy a new computer. Well we went with option B!

Yes, placing it in savings would be great for our Hawaii fund, buying a house, new car, and the list goes on, however; we have really been wanting/needing a new computer. Kevin and I both still have our computers from college, but they are up there in age. For some reason, my computer just stopped working during the summer and with it being 7 years old we decided it wasn't really worth the money to try to fix it. Kevin's computer that is 8 years old is very, very, very slow which becomes very, very, very frustrating. I have a Macbook that my school district issued me, but I am trying to make that more a "work" computer. So with our computers not working to their fullest potential, we made the decision that it would be an appropriate time to purchase a new computer. We ended up getting a HP TouchSmart computer and we love it!

Goodbye old computers...

Hello new computer...

And now our list continues and one day we will get a new computer desk.
