Morgan's Wonderland

This summer we went to Morgan's Wonderland.  Morgan's Wonderland is an amusement park in San Antonio that is specially designed for children and adults with special cognitive and physical needs.  The park is well laid out and perfect for children to interact who have disabilities and for those that do not.  Wyatt had a blast and we are planning to make another trip to Morgan's Wonderland in the fall when the weather is cooler.

We started off at one of the playgrounds.  Wyatt loved the music notes.

Choo-Choo!  Going on a train ride around the park.

Shopping at the grocery store.  I found it funny that Wyatt picked a banana since he doesn't like them and didn't go for a 'ball.'

This was a really cool room.  It had several screens with different projections on it.  Wyatt loved all of the butterflies flying around him.

Wyatt went fishing for the first time.  Kevin caught a perch and Wyatt wanted to touch it!  I think there will be lots of fishing trips in the future.

After lunch we went on a car rider where Kevin gave Wyatt his first driving lesson.

Playing in the sand...

Making music...

Playing in the water...

We finished the day on the carousal and some nice cold ice cream.

It was a perfect day and we loved watching Wyatt have so much fun.

Mom's 1st Birthday

Put on your party pants on, rejoice, and celebrate because mom has now been cancer free for a year now!  To celebrate life and God taking care of mom, we planned a 1st Birthday to mark this special day.

Over a year ago, Mom was diagnosed with have a type of blood cancer called, multiple myeloma.  With lots of ups and downs, frustrations, and many tears along the way mom had a bone marrow transplant on July 11, 2012.  Praise the Lord the transplant was successful and mom is in remission.  Happy 1st Birthday mom!

God Bless America...

Happy Birthday America!  We had such a nice day and had so much fun as a family.  Our morning started off with my parents, my brother, and his fiance coming over to our house.  Once the car was loaded, we all piled in my car and headed Guadalupe River State Park.  I wish I took a picture in the car.  Wyatt loved that Andrew and Celeste were behind him and he giggled most of the ride there.

There were lots of people at the park, but it didn't feel too crowed.  Kevin and I had been to the park a few times, but never really got in the water.  It was very relaxing and we are planning to go back before the summer ends.  We spent all morning playing in the water, ate lunch there, and started to pack up to go home by the early afternoon.

My sister's family and my grandparents came over to our house once we got back from the state park.  Kevin was a grill master and we enjoyed grilled shrimp, tomatoes, and corn on the cob.

Between Wyatt not looking at the camera and the fact that I can never keep my eyes open, it has become very hard to take a family picture these days.

We ended the evening with sparklers and watching fireworks being shot off in the surrounding neighborhoods.

Happy 4th of July!

Choo-Choo

This was our second time to go on the train at Brackenridge Park.  Wyatt still loved it and even wore his choo-choo hat.

George is 1

George turned 1 on June 24th.  It was a fun evening celebrating with the family.  Happy Birthday George!
