Macy Goes Swimming

The past few weeks have been beautiful outside. The sun is out and the temperature is just right. Kevin and I took advantage of this and went to Guadalupe State Park this past weekend. We decided to take Macy and go for a walk along the river. Once we got down to the river, Macy walked right into the water so Kevin lead her further out. With a little push, Macy started to swim! She swam right back to me.

I was so proud of here even though she wouldn't catch any sticks.

Something New For The House

Kevin and I made a list of 11 things to do in 2011 and now we get to mark off #11: Buy a new piece of furniture. For a very, very long time I have been wanting to find some type of table to put in our long hallway going from the front door to the living room area. We haven't been looking actively, but I just happened to stumble upon this table while I was shopping at Home Goods and we couldn't pass it up. It works perfectly in the hallway!

The hallway looks so much better now! It really breaks it up and it doesn't look so long now. Also, we have recently added a new piece of artwork. Our photographer from the wedding has been working on one picture that I really liked, but needed a lot of retouching work. Now we finally have a big wedding portrait hanging in the house!

Slowly, but surely things are coming together!

Taylor's Kitchen Shower

Once the showers start, that only means that the wedding date is getting closer! Taylor's first shower was a kitchen shower, which was very fitting because Taylor loves to cook.

Taylor got a lot of kitchen goodies and was even able to walk away a kitchen aid that she has been wanting for a very long time. The soon to be Mrs. is ready to walk down the aisle now.

The bride and bridesmaids (minus Ana)...

Some of the girls...

One shower down and close to the big day!

SNOW!!!!!

Can you believe it? It really snowed in San Antonio! The last repot of snow fall in San Antonio dates all the way back to 1985 and now 26 years later we have SNOW again! It wasn't much snow and for all those states who are used to snow would make fun of the little amount of it we got so excited over. Schools were canceled and by the afternoon the majority of the snow and ice had melted.

Snow Day 2-4-11 (tiny baby, not so cute snowman)

And what a better way to warm up from the cold, a nice fire.
