Christmas in Arlington

We spent a week in Arlington to celebrate Christmas with Kevin's family. It was nice to be able to spend more than a day and a half there. One evening, all the girls went to see the Rockettes Christmas performance. It was so much fun! The dancing was great and I loved all of the costumes. Here are just a few pictures from the weekend. I did a very bad job taking pictures.

Gaylord Texan

While we were in Arlington we met up with Mike and Jen at the Gaylord Texan. In the hotel, they convert part of it into a huge ice exhibit. It is the neatest thing ever! Each year they create a new theme and this year it was Mr. Grinch.

The line takes forever just to get into the part where there is ice, but it is worth the wait. Here we are in line, but we know we are getting closer because we finally got our parkas!

All ready to go...

Finally we are where the ice is! It is a never ending line...

Towards the end of the exhibit there are a few ice slides! They were so much fun and I would have gone again if the line was not so long.

More ice...

By this point in time I was freezing!

The last part of the exhibit.

It is incredible how the whole room is covered in ice and all the details in each ice sculpture. The four of us want to go again! Can't wait till next year!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! This year we celebrated Christmas a little bit differently. Kevin and I have been splitting our holidays between our two families, but my cousin Meg is getting married in January so we made the decision to stay in San Antonio. To make our first Christmas special, Kevin and I decided to have a quiet Christmas Eve together instead of spending it with my Mom's side of the family.

On Christmas Eve, we made a nice dinner and finally used our china for the first time! After dinner we opened our Santa presents and concluded our evening by attending the midnight service at church.

Kevin and I have been wanting to buy a new TV and entertainment stand every since we moved into our house so we splurged on ourselves. Our living room looks so much better (we still need to move the picture hanging behind the TV)!

Kevin and I spent Christmas day at my parents house and will travel to Arlington to celebrate with Kevin's family in a few days. We had a wonderful Christmas and can't believe that we have been married for six months!

Petunia and I wanted to be reindeer...

My Dad and sister are huge fans of a Christmas Story so when my Dad found t-shirts from the Christmas Story it was a must buy. Look how cute we look matching!

First Christmas as husband and wife...

Christmas day was spent with wonderful company. We celebrated with my Mom, Dad, brother, Granna and Grandpa, and Nana and Pawpaw.

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas...

Well it is December and it is that time of the year to make your home full of the holiday spirit. Kevin and I bought our Christmas tree last year after Christmas once they all went on sell. After a year in the garage we can finally pull it out!

Putting the tree together...
(you can tell that Kevin is very excited that we are taking these pictures)

We have a tree!

Now, it is time for me to get to work!

And the finished product minus the topper!

Here is another part of our house all decorated. The Santa's above the fire place were all painted by my Grandma.

During the Thanksgiving Break we were able to get together with some friends for a fun night out on the town. We had a very fun evening and I miss not being able to get together with these friends more often.

Happy Thanksgiving! Kevin and I spent Thanksgiving in San Antonio. We ate lots of yummy food and spent the day with my family and my Dad's side of the family.
