8 Months

Here is a recap of what has happened since Wyatt turned 8 months old.

Wyatt's top two teeth came in.  He is starting to look like such a big boy.  He now has four teeth in total.

Christmas has come and gone.  Wyatt celebrated his first Christmas.  His eyes sparkled Christmas morning when he was opening his gifts from Santa.

Wyatt made his second trip to Miles.  He traveled like a pro and loved spending time with his great grandparents.  The day we left, Wyatt got pink eye which meant that eventually Kevin and I both got pink eye.

We said goodbye to 2012 and hello to 2013.  Wyatt did not make it till midnight, but he still got a New Years kiss from his mommy and daddy.

Lately Wyatt has been crossing his feet together.  His feet are crossed sitting on the floor, when he is in my lap drinking a bottle, and even in his high chair.

Wyatt is beginning to roll over multiple time in one direction.  He is not crawling or really attempting to do so.  However, all Wyatt once to do is to stand up and hold onto furniture.  He will fall down and then try to pull himself up.  When he is standing up, Wyatt will take side steps and he is so happy with himself.   I think we will have a walker soon!

For some reason, Wyatt thinks it is so fun to slap just one hand on things.  He will start to laugh and repeat this action over and over.  Wyatt also thinks it is very funny to knock over a block tower.

We are officially taking baths in the big bath tub.  The sink became too small and water was all over the floor.  Wyatt loves the bath tub!  Bath time is now longer, and Wyatt has so much fun playing with his toys.  He splashes so much and I get very wet.

Our church had Baby Day to celebrate all of the babies born in 2012.  Wyatt was one out of eight babies that was recognized.  Cousin George was baptized and the boys are now starting to get excited when they see each other.  George loves to give Wyatt kisses!

Wyatt is also starting to eat a lot more table food.  His hand-eye coordination is getting better and I am still thinking he is going to be a lefty.

Life is flying by fast and I will post again about Wyatt's busy life as a 9 month old.

Christmas 2012

It has always been wonderful having a nice long Christmas break, but this year I am loving every minute of it.  Kevin and I are so blessed to be able to spend two whole weeks together as a family and not have to work.  So back to Christmas...

For Christmas Eve, we spent the day at my parents house.  We ate tamales, cooked for Christmas Day, and had quality family time.

We started another Christmas tradition with Wyatt.  Growing up, both Kevin and I received PJ's.  So on Christmas Eve, Wyatt opened his first gift and got moose pajamas.

Christmas morning we were up bright and early to see if Santa stopped at our house!  Santa gave Wyatt a new car seat and a cell phone plus a few other things.  Wyatt loved ripping the tissue paper and holding onto his phone.

Once we all got dressed we headed to my parents house.  It was a full house:  Mom and Dad, Andrew and Celeste, the Heinzes, the Caseys, Granna and Grandpa, Nana and Pawpaw, and that afternoon my uncle and cousin came.  George and Wyatt seemed to notice each other more this time being around each other.

The day after Christmas, our little family traveled to Miles.  Pa and Wyatt played patty cake a lot together and Nanaw and Wyatt enjoyed walking around.  The trip ended with Wyatt getting pink eye and us stopping at an urgent care on the way home.

Kevin's family joined us in Miles and came down to San Antonio with us.  Wyatt loves his blue ball that Opa gave him for Christmas.

It was so much fun celebrating our first Christmas with Wyatt!
