Deer season began with Kevin shooting one doe and Leonard the same. We now have deer meat in the refrigerator! Before the season started, Kevin purchased a meat grinder so we could have ground beef and vennison this year. Needless to say we are eating a lot more deer meat.
Trip 2: December
Leroy had the pleasure to go to Miles for the first time and it is official, Leroy is gun shy. Kevin was not feeling well and ended up coming home early, but not before Leroy tracked a deer. Leonard shot a doe in the evening and the boys were not able to find where it ran off to. Leroy was on the trail and found the deer! He was very excited and did not want to leave it alone.
Trip 3: January
The third trip consisted of Kevin, Andrew, and Leroy. It was another not so good trip for Kevin. He didn't see any deer, but Andrew shot two does and Leroy enjoyed tracking one of them.
Let's hope Kevin will have better luck next deer season.
