Cotton Fest 2010

This year Miles celebrated their 33rd Annual Cotton Festival and there was no rain! Last year was my first time to experience the Cotton Festival and the weather was horrible; cold and rainy. Kevin, Leonard, and I began the festivities at the parade in the morning and then we shopped at the different booths set up in town. I got some great smelling handmade soaps and of course we had some yummy fair food. That evening, Kevin and I went to the street dance where there was a concert being played. Even though people weren't dancing in the street, I still made Kevin dance with me... I found it only fitting with the name and everything.

Here are some pictures from the parade...

Macy May also accompanied us on our trip to Miles. Macy was very rugged and could not stop smelling the air. We took her to Hackberry and Kevin even shot the shotgun next to her. To my big surprise, it didn't scare Macy that much. More so than anything, she didn't seem that interested.

While we were at Hackberry, Kevin and his dad updated the game cameras. All the Heinze boys were very excited to see what was captured on the cameras and made them more excited for deer season to begin. You know where Kevin will be the first weekend in November!

We had a lot of fun on our trip to Miles. It was good to see Nanaw and Pa, watch Caydn's volleyball game, and to see the rest of the Heinze klan.
